We collect information you provide directly: your name, university email address, profile photo, bio, and listing content (titles, descriptions, images). We also collect usage data including pages visited, features used, and device information through standard web analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: verify your student status; display your profile and listings to other users; enable messaging between buyers and sellers; send important account notifications; improve the Platform; and process payments for promoted listings.

3. Information Sharing

Your public profile (name, avatar, verification status) is visible to other signed-in users. Your email address is never shared with other users. We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with: Firebase (hosting and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and as required by law.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure in the Europe (London) region. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Third-party services (Firebase, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies as described in their respective privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Listing data for completed or removed listings is retained for 12 months for dispute resolution. You can request account deletion at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

UniBreeze is intended for university students aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
